J.lo is a Go!

So all of the talk today revolves around how J.Lo failed to inspire the final 8 on American Idol. I say: What show were they watching. To me there were at least 5 premium performances including no ones favorite Sanjaya. Blake clearly set the standard with his rendition of Mark Anthony's 'I need to know'. Blake should believe by now that he definately has a chance to win this competition and add to his nicely polished resume. Most people will attest that the weakest performances were Phil Stacey and Haley Scarnato, but you also have to note that both Melinda Doolittle and Lakisha Jones were not as good as they had been in past shows. Someone please tell Lakisha that AI is a family show and she needs to cover 'the twins' up. It is distracting. Chris sang Rob Thomas' 'Smooth' and we know he wont be home tonight. Jordin's performance for me just didn't capture the version of 'turn the beat Around' like I think she was hoping. Sanjaya: I think what people forget is that he can definately sing for a 17 year old and is far better than most people can imagine. I took a page from a Chris Sligh who made some very good insights into Sanjaya's talents and made me change my opinion of. He is young and will definately develop a stronger voice than he has now. As for his performance, I liked it compared to many of the others. Phil or Haley should be going 'home' tonight. If not, that's Reality TV!
