The crying girl WAS a set up (sort of)

I’ll recap the results show in a second, but more importantly I have valuable news about that annoying crying girl. So, I’m watching the Today show this morning and who do I see…yes, yours truly – Annoying Crying Girl. Of course, she has become this big spectacle which in someway is cool for her because I’d probably sh%# myself if I was on American Idol and the Today show. But the kicker is…(straight from the horses mouth)…she didn’t have tickets to the actual taping of American Idol. She was at the rehearsals and cried so dang much that American Idol gave her tickets to the live taping so that they could put her on display. Basically, it was half set up - half coincidence. Regardless, American Idol is, of course, milking it for all its worth. Prepare yourself to get really annoyed in the future because they are also talking about giving her tickets to the finale.

Moving onto the results recap…all I have to say is WTF! Mini-Justin Timberlake was in the bottom 2. How? Why? What the hell? Okay, breathe. Everyone was too busy humoring themselves by voting for Sanjaya that my little favorite is going by the way side. Oh well, he’s not gone and that’s all that counts. Stephanie was kicked off – which I’m fine with. This was actually the first results show I have watched this season. I usually can’t bear to sit through the 5 minute long Ford commercials and Partridge Family performances. This show was actually moderately manageable. I was actually pleased to see that they no longer make the loser sing one last time…kudos to American Idol for discontinuing that. I was also actually pleased with a new ploy American Idol came up with to get even MORE votes but help out a charity in return. On April 24th, they will be charging 10 cents per vote and donate the money. That almost forgives them for exploiting a crying little girl. More to come next Tuesday…
